SMLE MK III RIFLE, UK 1907
The Lee-Enfield was standard army service rifle for the first half of the 20th century, it was British Army's standard bolt-action, magazine-fed, repeating rifle from 1895 until 1956 and was adopted by Britain's colonies and Commonwealth allies. In 1904 a shorter and lighter version of the original MLE was introduced, the famous Rifle, Short, Magazine, Lee-Enfield, or SMLE. Total production of all Lee-Enfields is estimated at over 17 million rifles, making it the one of the most numerous military bolt-action rifles ever produced. The non-firing imitation with its eye catching authentic details is a must have for all the collectors.
